As a rule when I turn up to direct a day’s shoot, fear for life and limb doesn’t usually come into it. But when our client Maidaid Halcyon needed some shots of their newly appointed Brand Ambassador, the England Rugby team manager, Richard Hill, I was slightly trepidatious about asking a player with a somewhat fierce reputation to sit on a dishwasher and smile! In his playing days for England he was known as “the silent assassin” after all!
Turns out I needn’t have worried though – as Richard was a gentleman and a joy to work with. In fact the harder shots were the ‘you can’t argue with excellence’ series where we needed Richard to look a tad more threatening – not in his nature apparently… although we think he pulled it off well!
Following a successful launch to announce Richard’s appointment – hot on the heels of his becoming England manager – the campaign is currently running in the catering trade press.
Photographic direction is just one of the many services PAGE offers to clients that sets us apart from other design companies.
Great photography is a wise investment for superior marketing material and photographic direction helps us to ensure that we produce the very best results for the project in hand.
It’s important to convey the mood, the end use and the format required from the shoot to the photographer as well as planning shooting scripts to minimise downtime between shots.
We have worked with Neville and his team for many years. They have a great understanding of our company and our products and have helped us to raise the profile of our brand in the catering/hospitality sector. We value their design input in all our marketing activities and would recommend them without hesitation.
